Life as a single mother was challenging. Balancing work and raising a child on my own often felt like an overwhelming task. The sleepless nights, endless responsibilities, and financial strains were demanding. Thankfully, I was blessed with supportive parents who stepped in whenever I needed them. Their unwavering support gave me the strength to keep pushing forward, even when times were tough.

A Ray of Hope

Five years ago, my life took a positive turn when I started working with Summit. The opportunity to work from home was a game-changer. It allowed me to be present for my child while still contributing to the household income. The flexibility of remote work meant that I could schedule my tasks around my child's needs, ensuring I was there for every milestone and moment.

Welcoming My Second Child

Three years into my journey with Summit, I enjoyed the journey of pregnancy during the pandemic and eagerly anticipated welcoming my second child into the world (affectionately dubbed our "pandemic baby" 😅). The experience was vastly different this time around. With the stability of my remote job, I could truly enjoy the early years of my child's life without the constant worry of how I would manage everything.

PROFESSIONAL AND FINANCIAL GROWTH

Working with Summit has not only provided stability but has also helped me grow professionally (and a little extra growth around the waistline from all those home-cooked meals! 😂). Beyond my work responsibilities, working from home has allowed me to excel in creativity. I've tailored my workspace to fit my personality and needs, fostering an environment where I can thrive professionally and personally. Whether it's creating art, crafting, or designing, my free time is spent honing my creative skills, enriching my life outside of work. (and NO, my workstation doesn't look like that anymore 🤣)

Advice To Fellow Virtual Assistants

Work hard, work smart, and follow your heart's content. Enjoy what you're doing, and everything else will fall into place. We make our own paths, our own destinies.
